The IWS-10 is specified to produce excellent bass quality in a range of wall, ceiling, even floor locations, ideally but not exclusively with its IWB-10 back box.
The IWS-10 subwoofer driver employs a rigid, flat 10” surface of 10 mm (3/8") RDT material derived from Monitor audio’s acclaimed ‘Platinum’ series of high-end speakers. A large vented pole helps to move air quickly, reducing power compression and increasing heat dissipation.
It features Monitor Audio’s patented Tri-Grip clamping system and paintable trim-less grille and frame edge.
Designed to perfectly complement our in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, the Custom Subwoofer range brings added bass reach, yet demands little in the way of footprint. Choose from our ultra-compact freestanding, in-ceiling, or in-wall models.
The In-Wall Subwoofer design marries the IWS-10 subwoofer driver, IWA-250 amplifier, and IWB-10 black box. Use the IWS-10 model in a range of ceiling, floor, and In-Wall locations, ideally – but not exclusively – with its IWB-10 back box.
Monitor Audio IWA-250 Installation Subwoofer Amplifier
Designed to work with the IWS-10 subwoofer, the IWA-250 switch mode amplifier is a slim, powerful design in a robust 1U rack mount case. Delivering up to 250 W into 4 ohms, the IWA-250 has input signal sensing, or is triggered from an AVR or other system source. Sold separately.
Monitor Audio Speaker Back Box IWB-10
The IWB-10 is a sealed pre-construction back box, pre-wired with external terminals, for the IWS-10 subwoofer.
Having an internal volume of 16.5 litres, the IWB-10 is designed to fit between standard 14" stud spacing and comes supplied with adjustable steel fixing brackets. While providing the ideal environment for the driver, the IWB-10 will also reduce the radiation of sound to adjacent rooms. Sold separately.
